Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course located in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course is owned and operated by the City of Goldsboro Recreation and Parks Department.
The Goldsboro Golf Course, built in 1941, was completely renovated in 1999 and reopened as the Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course in April 2000. The renovations were carried out by golf course architect John LaFoy who worked to maintain the traditional style of the layout, noting that the course was "reminiscent of the many fine old Donald Ross layouts scattered throughout North Carolina."
The course features large bent grass greens which average over 6,000 square feet each, with 419 Bermuda fairways, concrete cart paths throughout, a full-service pro shop with a great selection of merchandise, snack bar, and grill, and a friendly and qualified staff to help golfers of every skill level.
The course includes one of the best collections short par 4 holes to be found anywhere, as well as some of the most challenging par threes. Four sets of tees provide a true test of golf for everyone, from beginners to low handicappers.
Tee times are required on weekends and holidays, and seasonal rates apply.

This was the first muni that I have golfed on in about 20 years, and I will give it to them, the course is pretty nice and in good condition. The staff and services are not the greatest and can learn some manners and respect. The course is not in the greatest area. The fairways and greens are good, lots of sand traps and these traps are deep and tough. If you are not a good sand golfer, avoid them at all costs or you will not enjoy yourself at all. What impressed me was that the driving range was well away from the course. I will play here again, but until the staff and management learns more about respect and manners, I will not recommend this course to anyone.

Staff really could use some customer relations training. Marshall really needs to focus on moving the course along during peak times and forbid the 6 person teams going out. Shotgun start groups on both sides of the course to speed play. They really do bunch up the course by not allowing groups to start on the back nine to move play along. Staff members really do a poor job with customer relations and product availability in the pro-shop is distant past or non-existent. I really do like playing here when but they have a lot to learn about service.
